Ramdeobaba University (RBU) Nagpur is a self-financed University approved by Government of Maharashtra and University Grant Commission, New Delhi. RBU Nagpur was formerly known as Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCOEM), established in 1984 by the Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti, Nagpur, under the visionary leadership of founding chairman Shri Banwarilal Purohit, currently serving as the Honourable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh. This institute saw a transformative era under the stewardship of Shri Satyanarayan Nuwal, CEO of Solar Group of Industries, recognized among India 's top 100 CEOs. RBU Nagpur formerly RCOEM, Nagpur holds a high NIRF ranking, A+ NAAC grade, Diamond Rating by QS I-Gauge, Innovative Campus Award, National Employability Award, and various other accolades.
RBU Nagpur stands as a testament to a forty-year educational journey, rooted in the cultivation of human potential with a strong emphasis on universal values. RBU Nagpur offers multiple UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs, with more than 5,000 students enrolled. RBU is recognized as a place of higher learning for engineering and management disciplines and has five centres of excellence supported by industries i.e. RCOEM-TATA-CIIIT (Centre of Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training), NVIDIA-Centre of Excellence in area of AIML, Centre for Microsystems with Intelligence, Energy Research Centre (ERC), and QCF Centre of Human Excellence that are dedicated for promoting innovation and research among generations. Moreover, RBU Nagpur has been recognized for its commitment to offer a motivating environment for Start-ups and innovators. To impart impetus to eco system, the institute has established "RCOEM Technology business incubators foundation (RCOEM-TBI)", a section 8 company that offers a platform to showcase innovative ideas and properties to funding agencies.
